Oh, the scammers that are out there!

This morning, after a great night’s sleep, I woke up at my usual time, 6:30am. After going in the bathroom, I went back to the nightstand to pick up my phone to check my email. Isn’t that the first, or rather the second thing a lot of people do now? Anyway, I was looking through my email and came across an email regarding a message from someone in my Etsy shop. I opened it right away and as I read the message in my Etsy messages, I had a good hearty laugh. I do have a sense of humor, so I thought this to be funny as it was written at 2:30am, Eastern time.

The message was written by someone claiming his name to be Sam. Which turned out was perfect for my reply. Now, if this message had been in just any email, I wouldn’t have even responded as he didn’t deserve the time of day, however, Etsy will punish you for not responding to your messages. I don’t mean they will send you to your room without dinner, or ground you from going out with your friends. No, but worse, your sales will suffer if you don’t respond to your messages. Therefore, you have to respond to messages in Etsy. Now, since Sam was a scam, and it was 6:30am when I saw his message, I did reply right away. Also, since Sam the scam had the audacity to send this to me and who knows how many other people he tried to scam, I will call him out on my blog here. I have to say my reply wasn't in my usual politeness. For fun, and yes this is for fun, I am going to post his message to me on here.

In all its glory here it is:

My reply to Sam the Scam:

Sam the Scam,

You want me to just hand over everything I have worked so hard for? My hours and hours of time invested not to mention the money I have invested! Oh, and not to mention just handing over my computer remotely for you to take everything I have? Have you lost your mind? I can assure you; I have not lost mine. Sam the Scam, you need to find a better way to make a living besides trying to swindle people out of everything they have worked so hard for. You are a horrible person. Rest assured; you will be reported to Etsy.

When I tried to send the message Etsy wouldn’t let me reply. Believe me I tried a few times to send it. Then Etsy sent me a banner in red that read: The username you have entered is not a valid Etsy user. Then proceeded to send me information about scammers. I reported his message as spam. What else could I do? Oh, yes, my blog!

Now, some people would probably say, “Why would you even respond. Now he knows you are out there.” Well, it was in my Etsy messages, not just regular email and I didn’t want Etsy to penalize me for not responding to a message, even if he was a jerk. Therefore, yes, I did respond. He really deserved more of a rude response than I gave at 6:30am.

Sam the scam, I hope you find this blog and your whatsapp number is now out there for the world to see what a scammer you are. I am sure many people are so tired of scammers, emailing them, calling them, messaging them, even places like Facebook, messenger, everywhere there are scammers just like you.

Shop owners and everyone out there, beware of scammers like Sam the scam. They are there just lurking out there.

I’m going to work in my shop now. My shop that I have put my heart and soul into day after day. Actually both shops. My Etsy shop and my online shop. I love what I do though. I am going to have a fantastic day. I hope anyone reading this has a wonderful, fantastic day too, well, except for Sam the scam.
